Active Travel

Two wheels can be the easiest way to navigate the lake – both on bikes or via scooters.

Additional bike racks and scooter parking bays will available at our hub locations. These bays can be found via the Neuron app.

Walking from they city? See our walking trail from the city to Commonwealth Park and then make your way to the celebration hubs with the event map here.

Parking

If you plan on driving, there are many carparks around the lake's perimeter, including the Russell Carpark, in the city and in the National Triangle. Click here for a handy guide of walking distances between car parks and hubs.

The Russell carparks are the closest to our new hub at Wendouree Drive - walking trail coming soon.

The Barrine Drive Carpark will be completely closed, and the Regatta Point Carpark will only be open to authorised vehicles and accessible parking.

Parking fees and terms apply as normal so please read parking signs and don’t park on the grass or road verges.

Please take your time and be patient when entering and exiting the event as we expect roads to be busy on New Year's Eve.

A number of carparks will be closed between Friday 29 December – Tuesday 2 January as a result of the celebrations. Road closures and speed limit changes will also take effect on Sunday 31 December as a result of the celebrations.
